HORRIBLE customer service, long check-in/check-out lines. Given a mildew smelling room, not even the room I reserved. Was told by a manager that I should be thankful I even got a room there because they were over booked/sold out and they were having to ask other guests to check into the Excalibur!

We checked in to a dirty room. The pool was closed. The place was falling apart with plumbing sewage coming up through the shower floor. Staff did not seem to care or want to make our stay nice. They charge you a resort fee but what do you do besides gamble and try to find a place to park? Hummm good question? The internet was slower than slow and no where near a desk to use it. The TV is always auto tuned to the Luxor Channels and CARROT TOP is all over the place and annoying. Buffet was disappointing and even if you do get the all you can eat all day pass... NOT WORTH IT.
Liked: The Exhibits in the Hotel. Titanic and Bodies
Dis-Liked: No Open Pool and the Buffet.

My Husband and I have been staying at Luxor for many years*We always go on a special occasion and this trip was no different*It was my husband's 60th and our son's 30th and our daughter were also coming to spend a family vacation*We went through Terry Kamel , our VIP host who has always taken care of us on many of our visits and she was awsome*she organized our rooms and took care of all our needs*We had a wonderful time and everyone had a special memory of that trip* In my opinion there is NO where we would stay than Luxor* The rooms are spacious and inviting, always very clean and every detail was seen to! We are going back again in Aug for our 38th anniversary and Terry is aleady taking care of everything*I have no doubt that this visit will be as wonderful as the last*

We stayed at the Luxor for 4days and it was ok but I expected more. With a name like the Luxor I thought it would have been more luscious. The lines to check in was really long it took about 45 minutes. Other then that the staff was nice and helpful.
Liked: The strip was in walking distance and the casino
Dis-Liked: The price for food is expensive for what you get

I just stayed at the Luxor and I will not be returning. When I checked in, they told me the only rooms they had left were on the 5th floor. I was fine with that until later that night. My hotel room was backed up to the LAX nightclub that is located right inside the Luxor. You hear the music like you are there in the club. You can feel the base of the music as well. I had to put the TV on to help drown out the music and which the TV didn't get turned off until after 4am when the music was over with. As you can tell, no sleep was taken it. I will not be coming back to this hotel again.

I ordered my room online and when I got there, they ran my credit card again and charged me twice for the same. When I went to get a refund they kept a $15.00 resort fee. so I was charged twice for one day's worth of resort fees. when I paid for my 2nd day, which was made in person, they charged me a little over $190.00, including taxes. My credit card showed a charge of $229.60. when I called them out on this they said it's an extra fee, but it was never disclosed to me when I made the purchase.

I stayed @ the Luxor on New Years eve weekend..2011...and had enjoyed myself the first night as they had an amazing saxophonist playing in the lounge. I was so happy to see they had added some nice mellow music for the older crowd. But then I go down the next night to see him again and only to find out the Luxor canceled his show.. and their explanation was that they wanted to cater to the younger crowd !!!....well I would say that all the younger ones went to see Diddy at the LAX...so what about the rest of us older crowd who did not want to crowd into the sardine packed club ! NOTHING! No other entertainment except radio music blarring throughout the casino !...Very SAD! I will never come back again !
Liked: the view
Dis-Liked: they cancelled awesome entertainment to cater the younger crowd

I chose this hotel because my friend who i was going with had stayed there before and she said it was nice. I was in Vegas for a family wedding and most of the rest of my family was staying at Excalibur but when i saw Excalibur's website pictures I was NOT impressed. I loved the detail decoration at the Luxor. I did not realize when i booked that i would not be in the pyramid itself. Not realizing that there was a difference, i had booked in a Tower room which is a seperate building entirely. i loved the fact that the elevators required a room key for EACH floor that was requesting access BUT while i was there there only seemed to be 2 or 3 of the 6 elevators working. the room was nice but the lighting in the room was awful, there wasnt enough light fixtures and no full length mirrors. the bathroom was nicely decorated but again not enough light when you're trying to get dressed for a wedding...the shower head was too forcefull...it was like getting sprayed with a water hose...casino was ok....the club LAX had a terrible DJ that was playing very little music from the current decade and it was EXTREMELY crowded...i did LOVE that there were indoor walkways from Luxor to Excalibur which made it very convenient to get back in forth to my family's rooms...there was even an indoor walkway to Mandalay Bay...we enjoyed the Titanic Exhibition upstairs, checking in and out was a breeze and the staff was great! i might stay here again but definately in a pyramid room and only after i've visited some other hotels.
Liked: convenient access to other hotels
Dis-Liked: lackof adequate lighting in rooms

We Stayed on the 14th floor in the tower where we experienced being bitten while sleeping. When we reported it to the manager he saide he would contact us in 6 hours after he had someone investigate the problem. That was fine with us. No one contacted us and we followed up with the front desk only to find out that he was in a meeting all day and there was no update to our complaint. When we looked at the mattress, there was a large urine stain in the middle of the bed covered with a large white cotton pad. After that we were to disguisted to continue to search the bed. We received another room but not one ever contacted us on the situation. We felt as if we were not taken seriously. The beds were later changed on the entire 14th floor in the tower room. How long have they known there may have been a problem? We checked out at 2:00 am very dissapointed at the hote.
