It I's amazing to see people write reviews complaining about the most simple ridiculous things that are absolutely irrelevant to what you spent your money on. colors of the walls? Really? You didn't expect it too see that many people? Come on it's Vegas the most toured area in the US. You must be a special kind of stupid huh? I think the long walks are due to the high volumes of people and how much stuff is in the hotel. It's Vegas that's all I can say. Maybe you should visit NYC if your worried about walking. Mgm was awesome to me.

This is the 4th trip to Las Vegas and the MGM. We are going back in October of this year (2013) and can't wait. We found the room to be amazing, the staff great and the overall experience "grand". Going to take my sister next year for her 50th !
Liked: The room was lovely.
Dis-Liked: Line up for tickets at the front desk.
Recommended activities: Great food / Wine, Golf, Gambling / Casinos
Recommended for: An amazing honeymoon, Girlfriend getaway

Excellent stay at the MGM Grand

Just returned from 4 nights at the MGM Grand. This is our second stay here. We loved it - stayed in the main tower 23 floor, beautiful room, great rate. The pool area is excellent. It took longer to get our room than expected but received a $50 credit for our trouble. We will book here again.
Liked: Large resort with everything, good location and great room, great rate
Dis-Liked: Check in busy - should have checked in at the airport
Recommended activities: Beach / Sun, Atmosphere, Concerts / Music, Gambling / Casinos, Shopping

let me start by saying the Hotel is Very large and somewhat overwhelming. My husband was exhausted pushing his wheelchair on what seems like miles of carpeting. I went to the Starbucks and the prices were outrageous and everything was stale. There was no real feel that is was Las Vegas, it seemed very cold and very corporate. Speaking of that. it was all Slot machines as far as the eye could see of just poor people sinking money into them in a mad frenzy. I myself know that slot machines should never be played unless there is some amount posted at the top of a machine, The rest are just high priced video games, as far as I was concerned. So when everyone finally leaves, They are feeling sick because they spent all of the money they had for this trip, maybe had a few bucks left for a take home gift, and that's a big maybe! Wall to wall college age drunks. Who cares who buy's the drinks, The drunker they get the more they spend. Overall, no way again. Put is this way anything on Tropicana a rip off , One would be better off vacationing in the Older part of Vegas where the old time feel is still there. Or may the Islands. I think no should pay any money out unless they are getting something on the vacation to make them feel happy and have a good memory not a feel sick to the stomach because you overspent cash and got nothing. I saw a couple fighting about why one of them went to the ATM and did spend next months bill money. Any that's my opinion.

Keep your Cash, dont gamble and give it to total strangers, meaning corporates
I wanted to think about relocating here, no not now after I got a look see as to the general purpose of the New las Vegas, It stinks, Charging big money for expensive slot machines that should not even be called slot machines, they are nothing but video games , and total strangers taking money. it is like an adult penny arcade, Wont come back until they start changing the way it used to be. and dump the college age kids getting into trouble. Bring back the adults with real money and real gambling, and real comps and real hospitality.

Let me start by stating what i did like about the hotel... the bed was very comfortable and the down comforter was very nice.. also the poker room ran some very nice cash games and the poker room staff was very attentive. now for the negative. we booked a complete vacation package from Southwest Vacations which was supposed to be a paid in full package. upon arriving we were asked for another $112 for resort fees $22.40 per night. this charge was not properly disclosed to us and the clerk was not willing to budge at all on it, so i was trapped into paying it. the first night while i was playing poker and my wife was playing slots she ordered a coffee and after and hour of waiting she got tired and just went back to the room.. another night we were playing slots and wanted to order a drink but no watress came by for over 40 minutes. i saw a floor manager and asked if he could find us a watress but he basically said she would be around when she got around and he walked off... that was the last we played in the MGM Grand. Hope this review is helpfull

MGM New Remodeled Rooms...

Decided to check out the new rooms at the MGM Grand and I must say that it's well worth the upgrade. We had a problem with water in the sink that didn't go down that well but except for that we had a great time. I would of liked to see softer pillows but I guess that's a personal preference.
Ask for a room that's close to the elevators
The walk down the hallways can be quite long if you get a room that's far from the elevators.

Terrible service. They could not find our hotel reservation and forced us to call our third party to resolve the issue. There were no apologies for the over an hour long wait when our reservation "magically" appeared. West wing forces you to walk through the first floor hallway, which is poorly lighted and has depressing grey walls, to get to the elevators. The room was not worth the price we paid. The bathroom has no lock, the window is behind the bed so looking at the view is nearly impossible, and our sheets were stained and dirty when we arrived. Im a little over 5 feet and my feet stuck out of the bed. Those beds are extremely short. The hotel was so packed at times that certain parts couldn't even be walked through anymore. And to top off my first time in Vegas and a celebration trip for my birthday, they charged me the resort fee when my name isn't even the one on the reservation.

We had a wonderful stay this week. The rooms were big and very clean. The spa is amazing and would recommend to any women. The only draw back is not enough personell on both the registery and conceigne desks. Check in at the airport is it faster. I would of liked to seen more $5 tables for longer periods of time. All staff members were very helpful and friendly.

this hotel for one the worst service I have ever seen I think they are cutting back in that area big time finding a cocktail waitress is about as common as a royal flush took over an hour on dollar slots to get a drink the bar Rouge took over twenty minutes get a drink and was half empty had to wave arms over head at bartender and the pool forget it your walking and waiting in line lucky to be there when gas leaked out also oh and Diegos mexican the hostess made us wait out in the main hallway for twenty minutes and the place was empty had to find out there was a bar inside by myself good food but $150.00 for three of us think service would be better oh no fans in bathrooms fogged up and no coffee maker never had room without one of those and to find your way out to the strip good luck

MGM GRand las vegas not safe place to stay poor security stolen luggage by bellhop

We stayed at MGM grand for a business trip. Our first day there the hotel tub backed up and toilet overflowed. On our last day there we left 4 piece of our luggage with the bellhop. We watched him bungy cord up all 4 of our bags together and we also had opened 2 pieces of our luggage in front of him to take some clothes out. In my bag was a dooney and bourke handbag, glasses,shoes, clothes, jewlery etc. My husband had opened 1 of his bags as well w/ 2 expensive men shoes in it etc. When we went to pick up our luggage these 2 bags out of our 4 bags we suddenly missing. They had no explanation for us. We waited over an hour for a manager to come down and talk to us. Who was horrible by the way no personality and did not even apologize for loosing our bags!!! Currently they say that they are investigating it. I'm demanding a full refund from the hotel of our $2000 of goods stolen from us by this hotel. The idiot at lost and found tried to tell me that the hotel has no surveillance cameras. OMG! In conclusion horrible stay and not a safe place to stay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
