Hotel 32 at Monte Carlo

Hotel 32 at the Monte Carlo is an exclusive VIP-feel for a great price (during the week! Weekend rates are more VIP in nature...) There is a separate lounge with seating for check-in, no long lines. You get to use the express elevator and have to card-swipe to select the top floor. It definitely makes you feel like a high roller. The basic room is fun, clean, and comfortable with a nice view and a decently-sized bathroom as hotels go, but still basic. The suites were not in our budget, but looked very large and comfortable. There is always complementary food in the lounge during the day. It's not an expansive spread, but it's enough for breakfast or a snack between meals to get you through until your late-night dinner reservation. There is always cold bottled water that you can snag from the lounge before heading out into the blistering sun on the strip. The candy cart comes around in the afternoon and leaves fresh sweets in your room every day. Even though I don't drink, I could tell the mini bar was stocked with some quality stuff (although vastly overpriced, as is par for the course in Vegas). There is also a dedicated concierge for the floor, so arranging a porter at check-out went very quickly. Overall, it was a very nice VIP-feel for "the rest of us" who aren't *actually* high-rollers.

Bad experience - nontrustworthy staff

Bad experience with housekeeping. Had a bag go missing from the room. We mentioned something to the front desk. Later the housekeeper confronted us in the hallway in front of other guests - made an issue out of it. Also our bed was not made and garbage not taken out, yet the empty bottles were always taken. Hotel staff does not seem to want to acknowledge our concern over things. Won't go back

The Monte Carlo is a great place to stay for many reasons. The rooms are clean and the maid service is among the best. The room was always clean after we left the room each day. The Casino is good. The ladies will provide great drink service...if you tip them. We had many different drinks from a coffee with Baileys and whip cream in the morning to great Ceasers in the evening. The elevators are great as there is 3 different sets of elevators depending on the floor that you are on. This made waiting for an elevator no existing. Check in staff are good.

The buffet is good, and at night time after midnight the cafe serves a steak and egg special that is ok as well. Diablos is a good place if you are wanting to listen to some rock music while having some food and drinks. Look for coupons for 2 for one drinks with food. During happy hour daily they spin a wheel and you get the drink special for $2. Getting to the strip from the hotel is great as there are no individuals inside the hotel trying to get you to a time share sales pitch....many other Hotels are infested with these individuals.
