Stayed: May, 2010 We stayed at this hotel our entire trip. It was nothing but a problem. First we were taking a shower and the water went out and we had shampoo in our hair. we called front desk and they told us to use bottle water to get the shampoo out of our hair they came up with 5 small bottles of water and we asked them why the water was out and they said this happens every day due to the fire department. that pissed us off because they should of notified us before this happens so we called front desk to ask if they do this the next morning to let us know then front desk tells us a different story that it was a emergency and a pipe broke in the hotel. after this happened front desk walks right in on us and i am fully naked they didnt even knock or anything. priior to that we get wake up by loud banging on our hotel window because of someone washing the windows. i would never stay here again and made our first trip to vegas not so good. |

Stayed: November, 2009 It was my second stay. Came in on my B-day. Asked for an got a room upgrade (which they were happy to do since it really was my b-day). Had a great time. Stayed there in 2005, and it was fine, but this time was better.
It is out of the beaten path, but all you have to do is go to the east side of the building and catch the Deuce bus and head to the strip south, or head down town.

Review is the opinion of a member and not of Smartervegas.com Stratosphere Nick: Terri From: Madison, CT | Overall Exprience: | |
Stayed: August, 2008 While we were in Las Vegas we stayed at several hotels, MGM, Luxor, Excaliber and Stratosphere. Stratosphere was the absolute worst. The rooms were not sound proof at all. I could hear the neighbors entire conversations word for word. The first non-smoking room they gave us smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. We paid for an upgraded room but they gave us a regular room. At the point of getting the second room I was not about to go downstairs to argue about getting the room we paid for. There were also problems with the promotion we were supposed to receive for rides, it was supposed to be for four people and we only received coupons for two.
The main thing is that is just does not compare to the other hotels in the area. It is not in a great neighborhood and is far away from everything. I hated the room and really wished I was anywhere else. Also, the shopping area they have was just about empty, it felt like a ghost town, not your typical Vegas atmosphere. Thank goodness I was only staying one night. The only good thing I could say about it was the observation tower at night was so cool, I would highly recommend that. |

Stayed: September, 2008 We stayed at the Stratosphere for 4 days. The rooms were clean and comfortable, The Breakfast buffet at the cafe was delicious and cheap as well. There aren't any bad things really to say, except that the hotel is a little bit far from the center strip and the casino looks a little outdated. But except for that a wonderful place to stay at a great price. Liked: Everything in one place Dis-Liked: Casino is a little outdated Recommended activities: Great food / Wine, Golf, Atmosphere, Gambling / Casinos Recommended for: Young singles, A romantic getaway, Older travelers, Great pool scene Would you recommend to your best friend? Most likely |
