I really loved this show. It was fun. Everyone has a chance at winning and it seems like the only people that don't like this show are the one's who didn't win anything. I was fortunate to be one of the people who got called to contests row. I won my heat and got to play cliffhanger. Now I will agree, that just like the price is right, they want you to lose. If you have watched the show and know how the games are you might win like I did. I won the washer and dryer prize. They offer every prize with a cash option. Now it would have been nice to get the retail value, but they only give you what they paid for it.

With all that said, I walked away with $580.00 and didn't have to fill out a tax form due to the prize being less the 600.00.

It was worth the 50.00 we paid for the ticket.

Not anywhere near worth $50 per ticket!

Bought tickets right @ Bally's for this show. $49 per person. It sounds great - 50 contestants win throughout the show, and a chance to COME ON DOWN. Well don't let the hype and advertising fool you.

25 of the 50 winners and simply people drawn in blocks of (5) and your gift is AFTER the show and consists of 1,000 casino points?! Not sure what you are going to do with them - gamble more, or get a t-shirt or something.

The show is cool, in that it is like the REAL show - however sucks because of the prizes....

When you are in contestants row you bid on items like a portable dvd player, a piece of crap watch, etc. Stuff all valued at like $100-$200.

If you are successful you go up on stage and then play your game. Here's the funny part - what do you win? A fridge, or washer and dryer and stuff. Well if you are not from VEGAS - how the heck are you getting that home? I am sure the freight would be more than the item is worth! I SUSPECT that people likely forfeit their prize when they find out the taxes and then the shipping cost. Hence maybe making it available for the NEXT show.

Then there's the showcase showdown. You can WIN A NEW CAR, but unlike the show where it goes to the closest bidder (without going over), your bid needs to be within $100 of the actual retail price. Amazingly our showcase with a cruise, Nissan car, and some other stuff was only $9995! Everyone bid $16-$26k which seemed more realistic.

Hence what I am trying to get at here is the show is engineered for you to lose. The only "fair" game I saw was Plinko where at least you get cash.

Anyways, if you are die hard Price is Right fan, it is cool. Just don't expect anything for your $50 admission.

My rough calculations for the day we were there. 500 people x $50 ticket = $25,000. Total prizes given away - MAYBE $3,000 - $5,000 assuming people actually kept their fridges and ranges and stuff.

I thought it was neat, but don't recommend it if you expect anything from your $50.
