Just got back from a concert weekend at the Mirage. Everything was great! I have been to Vegas 30 plus times, and I was so impressed by everything in the Mirage. Great rooms, beds are super comfy, Sports Book was great, dealers were friendly, bar staff was great. There was a free shuttle for guests to and from the concert, which was wonderful and unexpected. Food and drinks were great, free drink coupons in the Sports Book was a plus. Pool was beautiful and well maintained. The rate I booked through this website was amazing. There is nothing negative I could say about the Mirage and plan to go again soon!

For the very first time we stayed at MGM Grand in order to celebrate my parents 40th anniversary. We usually stay at NY NY hotel but we changed our plans this time and it was the most fantastic idea!!!! Great offer, wonderful hotel, excellent facilities and an exceptional location!!!

The buffet is great!!! We were delighted at MGM and we'll go back to Las Vegas staying at the same hotel for sure.
Liked: the cozy beds and pillows!!!
Dis-Liked: Concierge closes early and unfortunatelly we couldn´t find food during dawn but just before we left we found out it was a restaurant called Diego with extended schedule

We love this hotel - particularly the pool area and its been having refurbishments for the last year or so, therefore its always improving. We stay in the Pyramid rooms which, despite still waiting for their upgrade, are nice, large with a lovely bathroom. We've heard the walls are quite thin in the Tower rooms but we have never had any noise problems (even on the ground floor of the pyramid). The staff have always been friendly and helpful and I think its excellent value for money. We love walking so being at one end of the Strip doesn't bother us and transportation is accessible, cheap and easy to get the hang of.

Gr8 rates via smartervegas.com site. Best available. I was booked in for 7 days and asked for a high level room, which checkin gave me, 26th Floor Tower 1 with limited view of the strip, that was fine. If you want easy access to the pool select Tower 2 otherwise you will have to walk through the casino to get to the pool/spa areas. Rooms are gr8 size even with a king size bed, which is the most comfortable that I have ever had and the pillows are like clouds for your head. TV facilities only ok in Tower 1, no cable just 'normal' viewing. No room safe or fridge which would be recommended. Air conditioning is pretty noise, particularly at this time of year cos you have to have it on to keep the room at a comfortable temperature, as the outside temperature for this time of year didnt get below 104F or 41C for the 7 days that I was in Las Vegas. Location of the hotel is gr8 for access to the strip, the Deuce bus has a drop off outside the hotel on either side of the strip. The Sherwood Forest Cafe has the best food and service for the price paid, the staff are very friendly and professional. If you are a member of the MGM group players card, the poker machines have the best rates for members. Gr8 hotel for kids/families. Enjoy it when u stay there.

Okay so this is a really nice hotel on the outside and inside. I only had one problem with it only thing is for me the problem is major. The shower did not drain properly in other words water filled the tub as I was taking a bath, like it was clogged or something. Thats just gross. And you could just tell that the whole bathroom was just old you know. I wouldn't stay there again.

They might have great room rates and one of the the best locations, but I'm done with the Flamingo. One of the reasons we have stayed her in the past is the tropical pool area. When paying guests are denied access to the pool, valet parking and other amenities for 2 days because of a special event, they should at least be made aware of that fact when booking. Without the pool the Flamingo is an outdated, tacky facility with little hope of competing on the Strip.

My best friend and I flew in from Pittsburgh and the moment we arrived we were in love with all of Vegas. The service checking in at the Mirage was superb and while checking in we jokingly told the concierge we were there to get married, so she had a complimentary bottle of champagne delivered to our room that evening! The Mirage is beautiful and everyone is very friendly. I loved that it wasn't a long walk to the pool and that there were plently of pool staff there to serve cocktails! The pool was of course our favorite, as you do feel like you are in paradise. I loved the Mirage and will advise all of my friends and family to stay there!

The Monte Carlo is a great place to stay for many reasons. The rooms are clean and the maid service is among the best. The room was always clean after we left the room each day. The Casino is good. The ladies will provide great drink service...if you tip them. We had many different drinks from a coffee with Baileys and whip cream in the morning to great Ceasers in the evening. The elevators are great as there is 3 different sets of elevators depending on the floor that you are on. This made waiting for an elevator no existing. Check in staff are good.

The buffet is good, and at night time after midnight the cafe serves a steak and egg special that is ok as well. Diablos is a good place if you are wanting to listen to some rock music while having some food and drinks. Look for coupons for 2 for one drinks with food. During happy hour daily they spin a wheel and you get the drink special for $2. Getting to the strip from the hotel is great as there are no individuals inside the hotel trying to get you to a time share sales pitch....many other Hotels are infested with these individuals.

Came to the Wynn for a 3 night vacation, came in early at around 10am so I didn't think there would be a room for me ready until atleast 2-3pm. But after asking nicely (a few times) I got a room with 2 queen beds and later that day got upgraded to a higher floor room with king size bed and a view to the strip, so that worked out great. Hotel pool was great and I didn't have a hard time finding a nice place under the sun. Restaurants were a little expensive but good. The casino is one of my favorites, a little more quite and relaxed than the other casinos with a nice poker room for those who are into that. Would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and I'm pretty sure I'll stay here again next time I'm in Vegas.

We had booked our room online and asked for one with a King sized bed and non-smoking. When we got to the hotel, our room wasn't ready yet and they asked if we wouldn't mind a room with two queen beds because we didn't want to wait 2 hours for our room to be ready. So of course we said yes. Well they left out the part that our room was right beside the elevators that sounded like a plane taking off every two seconds. We went back down to the desk and told them about it and they said the only room they had left was a smoking room and I'm not a smoker. It was a very discusting room and the lights were shorting out so we couldn't even use them. I asked for a discount and I have emailed them and still nothing has been done about this incident. I know a few other people who stayed there and the same thing had happened to them. There are many other hotels to stay at that have better customer service and nicer rooms for less. So I just wanted to give a heads up for anyone planning on staying there.

We had a great stay (Tuesday-Friday) and were very pleased with the beautiful, spacious room and the friendly staff. We stayed on property two of the three nights as there was no reason to leave. We both appreciate fine food and wine so we enjoyed dining at six of the restaurants, Circo the favorite, Olives second place, and Sensi came in last (food portions very small). "O" was fun, but not worth $170. Way too expensive! Didn't enjoy the beautiful pool area as the weather was too chilly, but it looked so inviting. The spa on the property is first class and so clean. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was so spacious, great soaking tub for bath lovers. Maybe next time we will invite our hubbies.

I actually liked this hotel, got a great deal, they had karoke, plenty of places to eat. They even have a movie theater upstairs from the casino. The pool was nice, had a lot of kids though but then again this is a kid friendly hotel. They have an arcade and they do provide babysitting. Another plus is that i won on the slots. The slots were very lose. I would recommend this hotel, it is great for an off-strip hotel and for $35 bucks a night, I cant complain.

ARRIVED IN VEGAS FOR A FULL FUN WEEK TO CELEBRATE NEW YEARS, AND WAS A BETTER WAY TO RING IN THE NEW YEAR THEN LAS VEGAS.

ARRIVED AT THE CASINO, USED THE VALET AND UNLOADED LUGAGE, BELL MAN PEOPLE TO DELIVER OUR LUGGAGE.

CHECKIN WAS FAST AND EASY. THE ROOMS WERE AND THE 36 FLOOR. DIDNT GET THE STRIP VIEW BUT THE ROOMS WERE AMAZING. NICE HIGH VIEWS, LUGGAGE WAS DELIVERED TO THE ROOM FAST AND QUICK.

BEDS WERE SOFT AND GREAT.

BATHROOM WAS HUGE AND LOVE THE OVERSIZED TUB AND STAND UP SHOWER.

ENJOYED THE HIP ATMOSPHERE. LOVED THE CASINO. THE WALK FROM THE PARKING GARAGE TO THE HOTEL WAS LONG. EASY ACCESS FROM THE STRIP TO THE ROOM/ELEVATOR. GOT LOST IN THE MIRACLE MILE SHOPS, LOL.

WAS A GREAT TIME WITH FRIENDS.

THE BATHROOM LEAKED WATER FROM THE CEILING.(WAS RUNNING LIKE A WATERFALL). GOT THAT FIXED AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS.

ENJOYED THE WHOLE TIME HERE AT PH.

RAN INTO A FEW CELEBRITIES AND ENJOYED THE EXPERIENCE.

GOT A GREAT DEAL FOR MY ROOMS AT CAESARS. TRYING TO GET TO THE HOTEL ENTRANCE WAS A BIT ANNOYING. VALET WAS FULL AND THERE WAS NO ROOM TO UNLOAD LUGAGGE. PARKED IN THE PARKING GARAGE AND THE ELEVATORS TO ACCESS THE CASINO WERE ALWAYS CROWED AND CRAMPED (NOT TO MENTION A LONG WAIT FOR THE ELEVATORS AND TO TRY AND HURRY AND GET ON).

CHECK-IN WAS SHORT AND SIMPLE. TRYING TO GET TO THE ROOMS IN THE PALACE TOWER WAS IRRITATING, WALKING WITH LUGGAGE AND A HANGOVER. LOL. ONCE WE GOT TO THE ROOMS EVERYTHING WAS BETTER. LIKED THE NEW AND VERY CLEAN ROOMS. BEDS WERE COMFPRTABLE. LOVED THE MINI BAR OPTION AND THE FLAT SCREEN (KINDA SMALL).

VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE BATHROOMS, LOVED THE PHONE IN THE TOILET ROOM, LOVED THE STAND-UP SHOWER AND THE JET TUB(VERY BIG AND OVERSIZED). WAS A VERY COMFPRTABLE STAY EVEN WITH 4 PEOPLE IN THE ROOM. ONCE YOU GET TO KNOW THE PROPERTY THEN IT MAKES THINS ALOT BETTER.

ENJOYED AND HAD AN AWSOME EXPERIENCE TIME AT PURE NIGHTCLUB. GOT THE VIP BOOTH AND HAD GREAT SERVICE. WILL FOR SURE HAVE TO GO BACK. WAS A GREAT TIME THAT TOPPED OFF A FULL LONG WEEK IN VEGAS FOR NEW YEARS. WON SOME BIG MONEY AT THE CASINO AND THEN SPENT THE CASH LIKE IT WAS NOTHING. WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE AND WILL FOR SURE BE GOING BACK TO CAESARS.

I GOT A GREAT DEAL FOR FREE DELUXE ROOM AT THE FLAMINGO. WHEN ARRIVED FOR CHECKIN WE UPGRADED TO THE NEW GO ROOMS. PAID LIKE 30 TO UPGRADE FOR TWO NIGHTS. CHECKIN WAS ABOUT AN HOUR WAIT ( AT 3:00 PM - CHECK-IN TIME ). ONCE WE GOT TO OUT ROOMS WE WAITED OVER AN HOUR FOR THE STAFF TO DELIVER OUR LUGGAGE.

LIKED THE ROOM. LOVED THE AUTOMATIC CURTAINS AND THE FLAT SCREEN T.V. REALLY LIKED THE BATHROOM AND THE TV THAT WAS IN THE MIRROR. HATED THAT THE DOOR TO THE BATHROOOM WAS A GLASS SLIDING DOOR.(NOT REALLY PRIVATE).
THE CASINO LOCATION WAS GOOD, BEING IN THE CENTRAL PART OF THE STRIP.

THIS WAS A GREAT TRIP AND REALLY PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE.
LOVED STAYING HERE AND WOULD RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS GREAT PLACE.

This Hotel is big ,but the size does not take away from the MGM Grand. The rooms are nice, comfortable and extremely chill, we had a great view of the strip too.

There is so much food selection ,which is great. High end spots like Michael Mina to a food court with Mcdonalds, pizza, and philly cheesesteaks. And the MGM grand Buffet is awesome.

If anything , many of the pools close early around 6 pm,
leaving 1 pool full so be sure to take a dip early.

Great Stay and I'm on smarter vegas to book it again for '09.

First stay at this hotel and I absolutely LOVED IT! I had a regular Venetian Luxury King Suite for 1 night. Extra large room with a sunken living room area, large picture windows with electronic drapes, flat screen tv's (even one in the bathroom) and an extra comfy bed. I was on the 14th floor and had views of the mountains. I was extremely pleased with the room as I have been with the hotel in it's self , especially with the $101 per night deal I got. This was my 2nd trip to Vegas and my 2nd stay at the Luxor. Check in no probs. We prefer tower deluxe room with two queen-size beds, with a mountain view. The mountain view is fantastic and you also get a giant scaletrix type view of the motorway interchange night or day and convoys of choppers lol. Don’t knock it ‘til you chill out watchin’ it with early mornin’ coffee or late night one for the road.

I’m poker my wife is slots. Casino floor is easy to navigate but they used to have a beautiful rich carpet throughout which has been replaced by a very mundane workaday layout. Big mistake. Poker room has good dealers with mostly helpful sense of humor. The bars are also fine to break up your swaree and staff are friendly enough if you make the effort to chinwag.
Food in the Pyramid Café is a wider choice than you may imagine and fitted the bill for us whatever the time.

Poolside is great, good mix of people and music playing to suit most.
SHOPPING TIP: Get the Deuce bus, NOTE THE DEAUCE BUS ONLY (£2 one-way $5 all-day) from the south heading stop next to the Sphinx. No worries!! It will announce your drop offs in advance. Get off at the Las Vegas Outlet Mall. Go straight in the main entrance and shop till you drop. Return is via the SAME STOP. It goes 3+ minutes to the depot/terminus were you alight and walk through past restrooms etc and reboard back to The Strip.
Have fun!! We did.

The Bellagio, 10 years after its opening, remains one of the best Strip properties, and our stay was great as usual. Check-in can require an extended wait at peak times, but except for that, from entrance to check-out they supply excellent service. The rooms are well-designed and the beds are narcoticly comfortable. We stayed in a Bellagio suite this time, which was beyond opulent and cozy with 3 separate bathrooms. The breakfast restaurant has exceptional food, variable service (from ok to excellent) and is ridiculously expensive. The other restaurants on-site are also fabulous--they will put a substantial dent in your cash supply, but you'll feel it was worth it. The decor is incredible and a big attraction itself--the Wynn and Venetian/Palazzo are the only other properties in its class for interior decorations. The "O" Show is amazing and worth the high ticket price--you won't ever forget this one.

Only complaint: lost-and-found is weak. I foolishly left a cell phone charger plugged into the wall under a table, and despite repeated calls to the lost items and housekeeping sections, it was clear they didn't make any real effort to locate it. It only cost me $22 to replace, but you would expect better service to track down an item (it may still be plugged into the wall!) that's of new value to anyone else but of obvious convenience for its owner.

The Wynn is simply the best hi-end property on the Strip (until they inevitably build a new one that outclasses it, but that'll be tough). It's quite expensive but worth it if you want to go all-out for a wedding or vacation. Decked out in royal purple and filled with flowers (all real, all fresh), its opulence makes places like the Bellagio (a great hotel in its own right and former Wynn creation) look cheap and touristy in comparison.

The fine dining (Alex) and steakhouse (SW) are among the very best in a city that in recent years has developed some of the best of both. The club/lounge outclasses the competition, with its Armani-clad nobility with stunning eye-candy on their arms, but loses its stiffness with great dancing after midnight. I'll put it this way--what other hotel could have its own world-class golf course on-site? No, not one you take a van 20 minutes to get to, but one built right behind the hotel. It's in a class of its own.

Rooms: Normal-sized but decked out w/ plasma TVs and stuff most hotels reserve for top suites. Beds are incredible. Don't even think about touching the mini-bar! Like most places in Vegas, it's legalized robbery.
In-room Dining: Top restaurant quality and fast.
Breakfast restaurant: As good as Bellagio and just as ridiculously expensive.
Service: Impeccable, though check-in can be slow at peak times.
Spa/Gym: Top-rate but expensive. Like most Vegas hotels, you pay dearly for a morning workout.
Location: North Strip across from fashion show mall. This used to be a decaying area but the Strip's center of gravity is moving north, and with the Mall, the Wynn and soon-to-be completed second Wynn property (called "Encore"), this is increasingly the center of action, minus the seediness of the south Strip.

Bottom line: You want luxury that's a couple notches above Paris or Bellagio, and are willing to pay for it? This is the place.

Stayed here Halloween weekend.....Casino doesn't seem smoke filled, but when you get back to your room--you will have that smell all over your clothes. Ate at Dick's Last Resort one night--but they close their food service somewhere around 10 PM....Table limits were low all weekend for craps, always a $5 one open. Made some good money there for the week. If you plan on using the pool, ask for Tower II--its right there. If you are in Towere I you will have to hike through the casino. If you have a car, use valet, the garage is not a straight walk into the casino. If you need to use internet service, there is a charge, BUT if you go to the mezzanine food court, Krispy Kreme has a free wireless signal. 2 Starbucks in the hotel. One in the mezz, and one on the casino floor.

Be careful when you walk in the first time with your bags---the timeshare people will accost you at about every entrance. Don't let them tell you that you can't check in yet and they will store your bags---just tell them no and keep walking

My Boyfriend and I stayed at the MGM when we went to CRUEFEST. We had the Celebrity Suite which was quite nice. The restroom was spacious, loved the Jacuzzi Tub. Our room didn't face the strip, but the veiw we had was just as good. The staff was wonderful. The Casino itself was Good. We're not the type to gamble, but it looked inviting. Loved the Monorail, We could get to the Hilton in about 15 minutes. Everything about our stay was excellent!!! I don't know if we'll stay there again, because we would like to try staying at Various hotels while we are in Vegas.... But who knows, This hotel was Very good to us.

We stayed in The Palazzo for three nights in September en our stay was really pleasant. Staff was friendly and room was clean. The pool was pleasant, but if you have childeren probably not suitable.
Towels in the room were changed two times a day, also the bed was made the second time(because of jet lag I slept sometimes a couple of hours during the day).
We didn't have stripview but to see the otherside was also impressive. When you're still inside The Palazzo you can walk through a hallway to the Venezian.

Stratosphere

While we were in Las Vegas we stayed at several hotels, MGM, Luxor, Excaliber and Stratosphere. Stratosphere was the absolute worst. The rooms were not sound proof at all. I could hear the neighbors entire conversations word for word. The first non-smoking room they gave us smelled really bad of cigarette smoke. We paid for an upgraded room but they gave us a regular room. At the point of getting the second room I was not about to go downstairs to argue about getting the room we paid for. There were also problems with the promotion we were supposed to receive for rides, it was supposed to be for four people and we only received coupons for two.

The main thing is that is just does not compare to the other hotels in the area. It is not in a great neighborhood and is far away from everything. I hated the room and really wished I was anywhere else. Also, the shopping area they have was just about empty, it felt like a ghost town, not your typical Vegas atmosphere. Thank goodness I was only staying one night. The only good thing I could say about it was the observation tower at night was so cool, I would highly recommend that.

I stayed at the Luxor on the weekend between October 23th and October 26th 2008. The Hotel design is really cool beside the nice pyramid shape it's also very cool in the lobby and in the casino. I had few issues with the Hotel:

Cons: The internet in the room cost me more than 10% of the price of the room (13.99) and I had to use network cable that was hooked to the TV and to sit on the bed instead of the couch or the desk that I had in the room. What about wireless? What about free internet like many other hotels in the states? As for the pools, not all the pools were open and the one that were open were too crowdie. We had to sit very far from the opened pool because the closest pool was closed.

Pros: The Casino was really nice, the dealers were nice and professional and the atmosphere was great. The service in the Hotel (Casino and in general) was very good.

Stayed at the MGM Grand for 5 nights, used a promotion and got upgraded to a Celebrity Spa suite. Check-in went smooth and my room was ready right away. The room was huge and the bed was amazingly comfortable (the Jacuzzi was fun as well). You should know the hotel is huge and even after 5 days I still had trouble finding my way around, bring comfortable shoes to give your legs a break from all the walking. There are a few pools and the lazy river is a great idea. It was really fun to take a tube and just flow in circles and do some people watching ;)

If your like me and have to work sometimes during your vacations, you should know the internet in the rooms is NOT free but reasonably priced, at least its wireless so you don't have to be restricted to one place. There's also a business center which has all the business amenities you would need.

Although you'll find everything you need in the hotel itself it nice to check out the other properties in the area. Getting around from the MGM to the other hotels on the strip is pretty easy thanks to the Monorail station which is located inside the hotel, the monorail is cheap and quick and in my opinion is much better than moving around in taxis.

We do high end trips to Vegas and sometimes Value trips to Vegas. I feel the best value in Vegas is the Gold Coast Hotel.
Their casino has low limits and has a good vibe. Full pay Video Poker. The restaurants are good and not over fancy like some other hotel restaurants are. The bars are very inexpensive and free if you play V.P. The hotel's gift shop has very inexpensive liquor and snacks. Location is great with free shuttles to strip and sister property, Orleans. You can walk across the street to the Palms or Rio if you want a higher end place to have fun, then walk back to the Gold Coast for the best value in Vegas.
It is more of a locals hotel/casino but more tourists are finding it.

This was my 3rd trip to Vegas but 1st stay at the Luxor. Check in went smoothly, had to wait about 10min in line for the front desk but my room was ready right away even though it was a bit early for check in. Our room was located close to the elevators which for me was a plus because i hate walking through hotel corridors for miles and miles. The elevator moves at an incline and feels a little weird at first but you get used to it pretty quickly. As for the room it was little dark in my opinion but once you open the curtains plenty of light comes through. The bathrooms was nice clean and spacious enough.

The hotel is located at the southern end of the strip which is a bit of walking to the center of the strip. There's a monorail that connects the Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Excalibur, the hotels are also connected by walk ways for those who prefer walking. From the Excalibur you can cross to New York New York and from there to the MGM Grand where you can take the monorail or just keep walking the strip. I recommend the monorail it gets you everywhere in a jiffy.

As for the casino, I liked it. I'm not a big gambler so I didn't lose much. I'm also a non-smoker and it bothered me that people smoke everywhere but still the casino was pretty ventilated and it was bearable. Don't forget to tip the waitress everytime they bring you something otherwise they wont be coming back, I thought I would tip at the end (not a good idea)... if you tip them at the beginning they will be nice all night ;)

I stayed at the Venetian for 5 nights. The suite was fantastic, the casino nice and we were happy with our visit. The downside was that my girlfriend had a make up item stolen from the room. Although the item was not a valuable item, it was the fact that someone went in and took something that was a personel item. We called the front desk and was told to go to security and file a report. I suspect this type of theft occurs quite frequently and many guests would not go through the amount of paperwork for such an item. However we decided to file a report anyways. I can speak for myself that such an item being taken I couldnt care less, but when someone goes into a womens make up bag and takes something without their permission, they feel violated. The Hotel management staff wasnt apologetic or offer a replacement of the item. This item was not dropped or misplaced it was stolen. I emailed the venetian looking for a follow up on the incident and received their standard nice reply of "to go and f... myself" and call the lost and found department.

Overall a nice place to stay, but keep a close eye on the cleaning staff

My wife and I stayed at the Mirage for 3 nights mid July on a weekend and we had a blast. We got a renovated room which we just loved we felt like we were the first guests to use the room it was crisp and clean and brand new with Plasma TV and everything.

As for the pool The Mirage has a huge pool with waterfalls and including trees and all sorts of plants. Feels kind of like the jungle. We didnt feel like the pool was crowded and we were always able to find a nice quite place to lounge. I definitely think its one of the top pools in Vegas.

I would definitely come back here and recommend to me friends, the location of the hotel is right on the center strip (perfect location) sure there are better hotels but for the price we got it sure made everything worth while.

After approx 25 other stays in Vegas, I wanted to try The Rio. Tons of great recommendations. Everything was great except for the pool scene. The pool is actually one of the reasons I wanted the Rio. Just before I left, I read on LVA there was a problem with one of the pools being closed. I called to verify this because the pool was important. I was told there were NO PROBLEMS AND THEY WERE ALL OPEN. (WRONG)(WRONG)(WRONG). Well the big main pool WAS CLOSED as I read about in the LVA, why was I told they were all open???? the 3 days I stayed 7/14-7/17. Why was I told by multiple HET and RIO people there was no pool problems????? What was left?, the kids sand pool?? and the adjacent pool??? WOW. The Sapphire pool? $40?? Please?? I am not anti kids, I raised a few of my own, but my son (24) and I had issues with the Disney World idiot crowd. This is Las Vegas not Orlando. I thought the Rio had more of the 25,30,40, year old crowd???I do get it, but I came to the RIO because we thought the pool seen wouldn't be 1,2,3,4,5,6, year olds kicking and trying to learn to swim. What put me off the most were people with their infants in Pamper diapers, bouncing them in the pools. I raised 2 kids and I know what's in those diapers and I'm suppose to enjoy my beer or cocktail at the pool knowing that. Another major complaint is the hot tubs, first of all, they were not hot. l temp.at best was approx 85-95 I've owned one for over 25 years. Get it to at least 101++++. It's a hot tub not a swimming pool for the Disney kids to go into without their parents. My total 3 days at the pool and tubs were brutal at best. Another thing, they do not have Budweiser products at Rio pool. The internet Voodoo pool menu is WRONG.

My husband and I have stayed at the Imperial Palace twice in the last year. We had free rooms based on our Players Card. We took them up on their offer of a free room for two nights and the third night for $29.00....we payed for the third night with comps. We were given a coupon book for a $75.00 dinner of our choice and half off show tickets. The Imperial Palace is on the tram line and in the middle of the strip. Yes, it is an old Hotel, but the rooms were clean and free!!! Floors 1-9 have a seperate elevator and it is quick, compared to the main elevators which are crowded and slow. If you enjoy Vegas and love the strip I reccomend the Imperial Palace~~cheap and easy access to anything on the strip. Stayed at the MGM Grand for around a week (biz trip). My room was just fine with a very nice view of the strip (used a promo code to book). The room was very good and spacious and the bed was very comfortable so I slept like a baby. The only thing that a little annoyed is the shear size of the hotel! Its huge and it took me 15min to get to the pool from my room and about the same time just to reach the strip from my room, not to mention the number of times I got lost. My recommendation is that you ask for a room close to the elevators otherwise you can do quite a lot of walking.

The hotel is pretty entertaining with lots of stuff to see and do and a nice bonus is the monorail station which stops at the hotel itself. Check out the Lion Habitat right next to the casino its quite nice and free and the CBS Television City Research Center is also fun if you like TV, you can see new TV pilots and rate them and this information helps them decide which show will eventually continue to go on the air (others get cancelled).

As for nightlife you have "Studio 54" and more, but I recommend Studio 54 which I had a really good time at and met a bunch of pretty girls ;) I'm not sure what they charge to get in because the night I went it was free entrance for hotel guests. It was in the middle of the week, I would avoid the clubs at weekends they tend to get very very packed (from what I saw when walking by).

During the day you have a bunch of pools to enjoy (I didn't get much chance to enjoy them since I was working during the day) But when I didn't it was fun and I enjoyed the lazy river (didn't enjoy the 15min walk from my room to the pool I felt like I was trekking).

Now for the best part gambling... I'm a Texas Holdem (poker) fanatic and this is one of the reasons I love the MGM Grand, they have plenty of poker tables although you can easily find yourself waiting for a spot on the table at rush hours. I found a table (late at night) with $1 and $2 blinds and pot limit and $100 buy in, which was just perfect for my low budget. Couldn't find other places on the strip with such low blinds for texas holdem.

I would totally come back here and recommend this hotel to anyone although for myself I would probably choose another hotel next time just for the experience, but it wont be easy to top the MGM Grand its a very good hotel from all aspects in my opinion and if it was smaller I think it would be perfect. Great value for the buck.
Liked: Lots of poker tables ;)
Dis-Liked: It's too big. "Colio" (gangster paradise) hanging by the elevators trying to get noticed.

I wanted to share my trip as thanks for all the help. We stayed at the Bellagio in a regular room facing the pools that I booked for $169 per night on through a promotion code this was our first time at the Bellagio and we were very happy with our choice. The location on the strip in my opinion is just perfect. Sort of smack dab in the middle. We strolled easily to many other hotels. The room was big and the bed was plush and super comfy with a large bathroom with soaking tub. The pools are lovely so we were happy with the view.

We didn't see any shows, just entertained ourselves while in town with visiting almost every casino on the strip for a drink or a quick bite. We did the Aquarium at mandalay Bay which is nice, but at $15 bucks pp I didn't think it was worth the price. The Secret Garden at the Mirage was worth the $15 bucks pp, we spent what felt like and hour watching the lions.

Day Trip to Death Valley
This was a full day of desert driving, but so worth it. We drove up to Dante's Peak for an amazing view of the valley floor. Drove the valley and saw it's sights. We were also rewarded with wildflower blooms, a few miles of desert covered in yellow wildflower was quite the sight. We Visited Ryolite an old west ghost town, there wasn't much to see and it wasn't well maintained, I'd skip this if I knew.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Flamingo. I only stayed one night, my last night in Vegas and decided to book one of their brand new Go Rooms. I absolutely LOVED the room. I'm a sucker for hotel room design and this had such a fresh mod feeling. If you are sort of a techie like me then this room is for you. Lots of gagets and things to play with. My favorite was the TV in the bathroom mirror. But equally enjoyed the 2 42" flat panel TV's, the electronic blinds and the 2 Denon stereo's.

This is the way to go, when I traveled the hotel was doing some renovations on other floors, it didn't really effect me but riding the elevators and stopping on other floors you can see the work being done.

My positives are that of course the Flamingo is right on the strip and in a relatively central location. Easy access to the Las Vegas Monorail (stops right behind the hotel).

My negatives - don't eat at the Paradise Garden Buffet. I hated it an still kick myself to this day for not going over to the RIO like I intended to. It was just awful. Nothing like eating crabsicles and the rest of the food was nothing to write home about. Second was the wildlife habitat. In August when it's at least 100 degrees during the day the animals tend to stink a bit. Even the water that the Koi fish were in. Something I thought I would enjoy turned out to be something i couldn't wait to get away from.

Overall it was a good experience but I would definitely choose a New Go Room over a regular room. It's well worth the money, especially if you find a good deal like I did!

This was my first trip to Vegas with my boyfriend and I was quite excited to finally go. We stayed for 5 days and it was an amazing experience.

Our suite was large with a great view, and although the casino and lobby area are a bit noisy (you can expect that) in the rooms its total silence. The hotel itself is amazing and quite big so I do recommend you prepare yourself for some walking (bring comfy shoes).

As for the shops I think they were quite expensive and not exactly our cup of tea. But still overall we had such a great time and i'm sure we will be back again on our next vacation to Vegas.

Recently stayed at the Caesars Palace for my birthday, friends from all over the came to meet me there and we had a crazy time. Check-in was a breeze and I recommend you take the upgrade option its really worth it. One of our friends got his upgrade at a cheaper price and after taking it up with the check-in desk they update our upgrade pricing as well.

Casino, food, and nightlife were all a joy. Pure nightclub was so much fun, after you finally get in. We got free entry with your hotel key. Definitely worth going to for a night out with your friends, although drinks are a bit expensive so try to fill up ahead of time.

To conclude I had a great time on my birthday, the hotel was center strip close to all the main attractions and I would defently recommend you check it out. Also dont foget to drop by for a visit at the Cheese Cake Factory, yammmmiii...
